Helps your child do better In School, And At Home.
We help kids grow their ‘listening muscles’ – so they can focus more on their studies, and listen better to you. Martial arts has been helping children build these skills for centuries.
Focus games, listening games, attention exercises and more are designed to boost eye contact, listening skills, and attention span.

Action-Packed Martial Arts Classes Build Discipline & Focus. For Life.
Little Talons (Ages 5–7)
Building Strong Foundations Through Focus, Discipline & Martial Arts Skills
We also reinforce key values such as respect, perseverance, responsibility, and teamwork—skills that benefit them both in and out of the dojo.
Whether it’s their first step on the mat or a return visit, Little Talons are taught to believe in themselves, work hard, and take pride in their growth. This program sets the stage for long-term martial arts success while helping kids thrive emotionally, socially, and physically.

Practice at Home. Progress Everywhere
At Fighting Phoenix Martial Arts Academy, we believe strong character is just as important as strong technique. That’s why each month, our Little Talons (ages 5–7) receive age-appropriate homework focused on core values like perseverance and self-control. These lessons are reinforced during our F.I.R.E. P.I.T. mat chats—Focus, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence – Personal Improvement Time—helping students apply martial arts principles beyond the mat.
During our F.I.R.E. P.I.T. discussions, students talk about real-life situations where they can use the month’s principle at home, in school, or with friends. This helps them internalize what they’re learning and understand how martial arts extends far beyond kicks and punches.
The result? Confident, thoughtful, and respectful young martial artists who are growing not just in strength and skill—but in character, leadership, and heart.
Junior Phoenix: Advancing Skills, Expanding Horizons
The Junior Phoenix program is where students begin to level up—both in their martial arts abilities and in their personal growth. Designed for students who have mastered the basics and are ready for a new challenge, this class offers more advanced training and broader exposure to multiple disciplines.
Students continue building on their foundation in Taekwondo and Karate while being introduced to Krav Maga—a practical, real-world self-defense system developed for fast, instinctive responses. They also begin Ground Defense training, learning how to stay safe and protect themselves when taken to the ground.
What makes the Junior Phoenix program truly unique is our inclusion of weapons training and weapons defense. Students have the opportunity to safely learn how to handle tools like nunchaku, escrima sticks, and bos. We also offer Gun and Knife defense, with parental permission. This training develops focus, precision, and control, while reinforcing the values of responsibility and safety.
For students who demonstrate exceptional dedication, skill, and leadership, we offer a chance to join our elite EXPO Team. This group represents our academy at public events and demonstrations, allowing students to showcase their talents while building confidence, stage presence, and teamwork.
The Junior Phoenix journey goes beyond martial arts—it’s about rising to new challenges, embracing discipline, and becoming a strong, respectful leader on and off the mat.
Homework That Builds Black Belt Attitudes
For students ages 8–12, we provide character-building homework each month centered on key martial arts principles like focus, respect, and perseverance. This homework is designed to challenge them to think about how these values apply not just in class, but also at home, school, and in everyday situations.
During class we have a special mat chat, called the “F.I.R.E. P.I.T.” (Focus, Integrity, Respect, Excellence – Personal Improvement Time), where students discuss their experiences and reflect on how practicing these principles helps them grow both as martial artists and as individuals.
